Well, today was day 8 of my P90X fitness program and I was definitely ready to exercise. Yesterday was a rest day (or optional Stretch X DVD) and I really enjoyed the day off.

Today’s workout focused on chest, back and abs again. The chest and back routine went incredibly well today and I was able to push myself so much harder than in week one. While I couldn’t do 25 reps on each exercise, I pushed myself to failure on each one and was pretty fried by the end of the routine.

Ab Ripper X didn’t go quite as well however. About 5 minutes into the ab workout, I started to feel nauseous and I got sick again. I was really bummed because I was pumped to do the ab workout today, but I guess that’s my body’s way of telling me that it has had enough for the day.

I felt much better afterward but decided that it would probably be better to hold off on the rest of the ab exercises for today and rest. I made a protein shake, had a glass of juice, and chilled out for a bit.

I’m excited to workout again tomorrow as I’m definitely seeing improvements already in the strength and stamina department.

Also, I followed the P90X nutrition plan exactly as recommended again today. Eating clean is really quick and easy with the included nutrition program and I’m already feeling better as a result of my improved diet.
