Today is day 35 of P90X and it’s time for another progress report and photo update. Even though I had to take a few days off from the workouts to move, I stuck with the P90X nutrition plan and was able to pick right up with the workouts where I left off…
I’m really excited about the results I’ve seen so far in just over a month’s time. The small daily improvements are easy to overlook, but they’re quite noticeable when you step back and compare today’s pictures with those from day 1.
And here are the side by side comparison shots of day 1 and day 35…
And here are my measurements after 5 weeks of P90X:
I’m really excited about the measurements from this week. So far in the first 5 weeks of P90X, my body fat percentage has dropped nearly 5%, I’ve lost 13 pounds, and I’ve trimmed a noticeable amount of fat off of my waistline.
I’m getting ready to do Stretch X in a little bit, and I’m also going to do Ab Ripper X to make up for the workout that I cut short a few days ago due to nausea. Stay tuned!

2Dude you are doing so well! I can even see your top two abs starting to show! Plus can see more definition in your arms and back. I know you had a few days off because of moving, but a few days of hardcore heavy lifting and moving sounds like a pretty full on workout to me.
Keep pressing play and your body will do the rest!!!!

7Wow. I’m glad I found your blog. I need to do that too. I have lost 20 lbs and 8 % body fat- but there’s no defined muscle tone yet because I have not been consistent with my workouts…sigh. Hopefully this will motivate me to get with it!!!

8@Irene: Wow, it sounds like you’ve gotten some amazing results so far! What day are you on?
Consistency is the name of the game with this program, just stay on track with your diet and the workouts and you’ll get some amazing results…

9Dang, dude! Most impressive!
Not only are you looking great, I bet you feel like a million bucks, too. I just started P90X after having done P90 this summer and I am loving every painful, bucket-of-sweat moment of it.
Keep it up!!!

10Great Job! You really can see a difference between day 1 and day 35. I’m always amazed at what P90x does for a person’s posture. Keep it up.

11GHEEEEEEEZ dude…u look gr8!! i was still deliberating if i should buy this or not…i think ur pics. r gr8. 1 qstn though…what level of activity would u say u were pre p90x? very active…active…somehow active or a couch potato… the reason am asking is b/c i seat on a desk at work for alomst 10 hrs a day…and even though i do a lot of running around when i get home..whit the cooking, cleaning etc…i consider myself in the same level of a couch potato…so does this program has a gradual work out thing…or it gets u in tune right of the back…am trying to see if i would be able to manage this thing. i just lost 53lbs…but now i need to tone up….
Thanx…Celena.

14First off, your progress looks great, but I still have some questions I hope you can help with. Does this program work to help reduce cellulite? I would like to drop 10-15 lbs, but would also like to reduce the “hail damage.” I am also concerned about how fit you need to be before starting the program.

15@Kerry: Yes, P90X will definitely reduce cellulite. Before starting P90X, you should do 2 things:
1. Sign up for a free Team Beachbody account
2. Take the P90X fit test
The Team Beachbody account will give you access to several cool things such as coaching, tips and advice from the Beachbody newsletter, and access to Beachbody’s WOWY online gym. The P90X fitness test will establish some fitness benchmarks and determine if you’re fit enough to begin the program.

21Awesome, man. I just started the program 2 days ago and can feel the burning already. It’s good to see real-life people instead of the tv testimonials. Very reassuring. Feel free to contact me and maybe we can share results and tips. My wife thinks I am crazy for doing this, but after losing my manual labor job and going into food service management, I have put on more than a few pounds. Between myself and trying to include my eleven-year-old in the workouts (he’s a little big around the middle, too), I am working to get my family healthy more than I am trying to get a beach body or any other vain reason. But like everything I do, I don’t settle for second best, and plan to take it to the X. Keep it up, big dog!

23I’m in fairly good shape and workout on a regular basis. I’ve lost over 30 lbs in the past and now after being pregnant I need to lose 30-35 lbs AGAIN. Does p90x work for individuals who are in good/decent shape or not as well? Thanks!

24Works just the same if not better. Using lighter weights and more reps you can really tone up as well as lose a few extra pounds. Heavy weights with less reps and your going to bulk up and possibly gain a few pounds. Good pounds though from muscle not fat…

25We are on Day 33 and were kind of feeling discouraged by not seeing huge results on Day 30 pics. Of course our measurements have dropped and we feel great, but seeing the next 2 weeks ahead of us on you, helped motivate us again!
