One of my favorite things as of late is my new Big Berkey water filter. Ever since I began doing the P90X program, drinking water has become such a big part of my daily routine, and I decided to get serious about the quality of water I was consuming.
After doing a ton of research, I finally pulled the trigger on the Big Berkey with 4 black elements. When it comes to high-end water filtration systems, this thing is the undisputed heavyweight champ.
One of the cool things about the Big Berkey is the fact that it’s a gravity fed system that doesn’t rely on electricity or batteries. Just pour water into the top of the stainless steel canister, and it will instantly begin the purification process.
The Big Berkey will handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. Whether it’s dirty water from remote lakes, streams and stagnant ponds, or just poor quality tap water — this system will deliver safe, clean, and great tasting water.
The Big Berkey removes some really bad stuff like pathogenic bacteria, pesticides, organic solvents, radon 222, trihalomethanes, herbicides, cysts and parasites, and more. It also reduces unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury, and reduces both nitrates and nitrites. It even removes food coloring from water with stripping out the beneficial minerals the body needs.
The Big Berkey water filter is just under 20″ tall and is made of high-quality 304 stainless steel. Max capacity is approximately 2.25 gallons of water. Highly recommended if you want to provide your body with the best water possible.

1What a great suggestion. I did some research and these Berkey water filters are awesome. What a healthy alternative to tap water or bottled water. The initial cost is a little expensive but the filters last forever (well almost). Thanks!
