Today was day 4 of my P90X adventure and what an adventure it was. As a yoga virgin, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and found that yoga is actually a lot harder than it looks!
I would have to say that although I did find Yoga X to be challenging, it wasn’t as bad as some of the previous P90X workout routines I’ve gone through already. The stretching felt great but there were a few moves that I had some difficulty with. I probably should have video taped the session and sent it in to America’s Funniest Home Videos, I think I toppled over 5 or 6 times during the DVD while trying to hold a pose.
I ran to the store tonight and grabbed a few more things for the home gym, including a fan and some yoga blocks. Tip: If you’re thinking about starting the P90X fitness program, make sure that you buy a high powered fan! I found myself getting overheated through the DVD’s, so the fan should really come in handy.
As far as my P90X diet goes, I’m still on the straight and narrow. I’ve been eating stuff like tuna, steak, raw carrots, cucumbers, fat free cottage cheese, fat free yogurt, fresh fruit, soy bean nuts, etc. I’m very impressed with the nutrition plan so far and I feel great eating a clean diet.
Also, I kicked the daily coffee habit once I started P90X. I had headaches in the evenings over the course of the first few days but they’re gone now.
That’s all for today, have a good weekend and stay tuned for tomorrow’s update.
P.S. I jumped on the scale earlier and I’ve already dropped 2 pounds. Not bad for day 4 of the program…

2@Joey: Thanks, this program is the real deal and will push you hard. You can definitely do without the blocks once you get some sessions under your belt but I think you’ll need them at first. I picked mine up at WalMart for under $10. Thanks for the comment Joey and good luck with P90X!

3Hang in there! I am just three days ahead of you and I am now (finally) feeling great! I am actually excited about P90x because of the results I’m seeing in just 7 days. Thanks for blogging and I’ll stop by again.
