Today was day 24 of my P90X journey and the workout today was Kenpo X. I had an outstanding workout today and really pushed myself as hard as I could…
The Kenpo X routine is a little different from some of the other workouts because it can actually be a cakewalk if you don’t push yourself. For instance, you can throw punches, blocks and kicks, but unless you really focus on keeping the intensity up — it can be a walk in the park.
Today, I really tried to take the kenpo work out to the next level and it worked. I got in a solid hour of intense exercise and felt great afterwards.
I ate well again today. I was out running errands this afternoon and started to get hungry, so I stopped at Boston Market to eat. I had some roasted chicken as a snack to hold me over until I got home, and then I had my final P90X nutrition plan meal of the day which was two cans of tuna, a cup of raw carrots, and a bowl of non-fat yogurt with blueberries and sliced strawberries.
Also, I think I’ve been taking my waistline measurement wrong. I’ve been measuring down around the lower belly area, but I just found out today that I should be taking the measurement higher up — basically in the belly button area. I’m a bit bummed that I didn’t get an accurate waist measurement on day one now, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. I still have a long way to go so at least I’ll be able to see the measurement progress from here on out.
That’s it for today, tomorrow is Stretch X and it will be the first time that I’ve done that workout. I’ve elected to rest on the previous Stretch X/Rest days, so I’m looking forward to trying it out. I’ve heard a lot of very positive things about it…
Stay tuned!

1Stretch is very good. There is nothing really new in it. It uses mainly all the same movements from the warm ups and cool downs of the other workouts. Plus it throws in some yoga as well. It is a good break from the other intense workouts.

2@Mike: That’s what I’ve heard. I really enjoy the stretching aspect of Yoga X so I’m looking forward to Stretch X…
