Just a quick update today…
Today was day 30 of the P90X weight loss program and I did the plyometrics workout today. Plyometrics is definitely challenging for me and my legs were pretty toasty after I got done today. I’ve found that the upper body workouts are a bit easier than the routines which focus on the legs more.
The P90X nutrition plan went well again today, nothing new to report in that department for now. I’m still waiting on the P90X Recovery Drink and supplements, hopefully they’ll arrive tomorrow.
That’s it for today. I’m pretty worn out from the workout today and can’t wait to hit the sack!
Stay tuned…

1Just curious, do you use push up bars?

2@Rick: I found that regular push-up bars have a tendency to tip over when doing wide grip push-ups. I picked up a pair of Perfect Pushup discs and they work perfect — much more stable than normal push-up bars.

3Great job! I definitely see a steady improvement.
How do you measure your body fat?

4@Duncan: Thanks! I use the Omron HBF-306C to measure my body fat percentage.

5Thanks for your response.
Today was my 4th day of P90x. Not easy but sticking to it.
I have perfect pushup but I find the whole rotation bit to throw me off while i’m trying to do puships. I thought standard bars might be better, but maybe i’ll give it another shot.

6@Rick: Way to go, just keep on track and finish your workouts every single day. It’s always toughest in the beginning.
As far as the Perfect Pushup discs, I don’t use them as they’re intended (for rotation at the top of the push-up). I just find that they’re more stable than normal push-up bars and use them without rotating the disc…
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

7Another thing that works well is to remove all unhealthy foods from the house. Obviously a handful of fruit or nuts can stay, but ice cream, chips and candy ect. must go!
