I’m on vacation at the moment and will be returning on Friday. As you can imagine, sticking to the P90X program while on vacation can be pretty challenging to say the least!
What I’ve decided to do is stick as closely as possible to the nutrition plan while I’m away, and also do Ab Ripper X, push-ups, plyo, and kenpo. I’m going to basically pause the program where I’m at until I return, but in the meantime I’ll be getting some form of workout in each day and doing my best to eat as healthy as possible.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to maintain where I’m at this week and be able to pick right up where I left off on Friday when I return.

1Hi,
i am truly amazed by your results so far…
i know that u started using supplements the second month, however, i was wondering did u use any sort of supplement the first month of p90x? Did u use protein shakes/bars, recovery formula, or the multi vitamin?
Thanks, and how do u stay motivated lol, i suck at that…

2How many pullups were you able to do day 1 vs where you are at currently in the program?
Just wondering as I am having trouble with pullups. I sometimes use a lat machine during the workouts. I was thinking about switching to bands, but don’t know.
What I will try to do at times is do as many pullups as I can, which isn’t many, then I’ll quickly jump on the lat machine to pound out more reps that way.
If you could let me know your thoughts, that would be great.
By the way, I enjoy the vids!
Thanks!
Matt

3@Matt: I did 8 pull-ups during the pre-P90X fit test — I do more than that when I max out now.
My advice would be to keep a chair under you as you’re doing pull-ups. Do as many as you can on your own without any help from the chair, and then get some last reps in using the chair once you max out.

4@Rahul Sehgal: During month one, I wasn’t taking supplements. Just eating lots of healthy food.
Motivation has to come from within. It’s very personal and what motivates me, won’t necessarily motivate the next person.
This program is a challenge and changing your lifestyle, habits, and physical condition isn’t easy. Dig down and find what really motivates you, and then keep that fresh in your mind at all times.

6@Jboi: Thanks!
I’m pretty skeptical as well about programs that promise big results, but P90X definitely works as long as you’re willing to follow everything as it’s laid out.
