February 28 I weighed 200.0 lbs (male 5'10"). This is when I started the Power 90 Master Series (P90x is coming soon). It is May 17 and I lost 26 lbs (actually I was down 26 lbs about two weeks ago..). I feel great. My love handles are almost gone. This works. just be committed to it. you'll be happy with the results.

I work 7 days on and 7 days off. I was wondering if I can still be able to do P90X effectively. There are guys at work that are doing it but they don't seem to be changing in their appearance at all. I think it will be hard to stay on the program since I work 12-14 hour days/nights while at work. I am in the Oil Field and I think if there is a way to stay on track ALL the time(At work and days off)that I can convince many other guys to join the P90X challenge.I REALLY want to do this program but don't want to waist my money if It doesn't work with my work schedule

Big thing with p90x is getting discouraged. Ive always been overweight but ive also always been active playing sports. So i figured id be able to do it. I was wrong. Lasted three days and said eff it. My issue was i tried to go all out exactly the workouts they are doing. I just started it again almost 2 years later and lemme tell u. Go slow. Off the start if u havent been totally active leading up to it. Go through the dvds and find one that u find fun. Kenpo or plyo are my favs and do them to ur limit and go in with the mind set that its okay not to make it through the full dvd. Then once ur at a point where ur doing good. Begin the full robust XTREME program that p90x is!! BRING IT!!

I started P90X! 7 Month ago and DAMN! I LOST 55 LBS! I use to be 260 and now i am at 205! I use to wear size 40 PANTS! and dropped down to SIZE 34 PANts! Unbelievable results. I made time for my P90X since im a busy guy, I have 2 JOBS! and i go to COLLEGE! and the only time i have for a work out is in the mourning.

yes at the VERY BEGINNING IT WAS VERY HARD but i took it very slow. The 1st week i just wanted to try my fitness level for this program so i tried to follow the videos for the 1st 7 days and it was an epic FAIL! but i didnt give up. So when i said take it slow for beginners i did the workout every other day and did as much as i can i never really did the yoga kempo and xstrech because i could barely lift my own body. so i just did the day-1 day-3 and day-5 workouts for 2 month so i can build muscle stregth and after 2 month i started the real work out and man did i see results from my upper body i slacked on the ab ripper because it was so hard... 3 month in my arms shoulder and back huge results. i regret not doing ab ripper.

I'm on my 8 week going to 9, no results because it's hard to follow the nutrient guide when you eat the same food as your family members. I chose Classic and that one didn't give me the results so after my 90 days with that one is done, I'll start over again choosing the Lean version - burn more fat as it says in the fitness book.

Equipment you need:

1. Back, Legs, Shoulders, Chest, biceps and Triceps - Push up bar, set of Weights (recommend the ones you can change the Lbs) or Resistance Band, Paper Plate or towel when doing side push ups and Chin-up Bar .

2. Yoga X, X Stretch & Ab Ripper X<<(just need mat) - Yoga Mat and Yoga Block

3. Hear rate monitor - for Plyometrics, Kenpo X and Cardio X

4. Chair - Plyometrics, chin ups

5. Water, Towel, Work out sheets (download at Beachbody.com)

6. Just do your best and forget the rest and just bring it

Dee, I have seen this question asked a few times here in the comments section. The best thing about p90x is that it isn't just a thing that expires in 3 months, and it isn't just one routine you do over and over every day. P90x in my opinion is nothing more than all the tools you need to change your life. So after 90 days you continue to eat healthy take a week or two off to recharge and still keep active then rock and roll all over again.

thanks to those who answered my questions. The scale is starting to move and after a month I have lost a total of 10 inches off my body. when tony says this program will get you in the best shape of your life he isn't lying. I went on the treadmill last night to see if my endurance had changed at all. I was able to run at 7kms for 16 mins without a break. I have never been able to do that in my life. I love P90X!!!!!!!!!!

I would like those of you out there to know that if you just try it, you just might like it. before buying P90X I had lost 128pounds on my own but there was no one guiding me on how to follow a meal plan or even a fitness routine. in order to lose inches and weight and be in the best shape as possible. you have to do them all at the same time. P90X offers just that. I'm 46 years old and I'm starting to be in the best shape that I could be in. It takes one day at a time, so give it a try. remember you can always send it back for a full refund.

i finished p90x, no energy drinks, regular brand protein shakes after work outs. gained 6 pounds and im very cut now. this thing works.

as for nutrition i didnt follow it to the exact instructions... i just stopped drinking pop everyday, way more water, nothing deep fried, and no take out. changed anything white to brown or whole wheat and i gained the muscle weight i wanted. also i never used any energy drinks. i drank protein shakes and thats about it

im doing it for the second time now, havent worked out in 2 months and havent lost much of the definition i gained... but yeah its a great challenge and its not impossible.

im a smoker and i drink 4 nights a week, i eat healthy and im in great shape thanks to p90x. get it.

Karalee, from all the forums I've read, three weeks with no weight loss is 100% normal. They even mention something called DOMS, which more or less means (in stupid talk) When you work out your body works overtime to heal your muscles (As though your body thinks it's being attacked). Muscles get protected with fluid. So more fluid in the body can actually mean weight gain! So no worries. Usually at the 30/60/90 days everything is on the up and up and you should notice a weight loss. If after the 60 day mark, it's no longer the fluid, its the food you're eating. If anyone has more info, please share it!!!

Came here looking for negative things about P90X, still can't find any! So it looks like the wife, daughter and myself will give this a try.

Though I do have an answer for those that are wondering why they are not losing weight. Muscle weight more than fat! I have been graced with a very high metabolism, but now that I'm 47 and sitting behind a desk, it has failed me. It did this to me once before, and I went out and got a very physical part time job. That's where I noticed I was losing inches on my pants size, but not weight on the scale.

So I'd say to all those looking to lose weight, throw the scale out!! Weight itself is not your enemy, fat weight is, not muscle weight.

I'm 16, 5'7, 125lbs, and ready to turn heads. I've been the short skinny dude all my life among a lot of athletic friends and am ready to move to the top in terms of fitness. I run about 6 miles a day with my track team so I don't know where that puts me on the "fitness" scale - but I've heard nothing but good things about this program so I'm really excited. If anybody has any tips for starters/getting the lean but strong look - fill me in. Thanks.

Hey Karalee Im no fitness expert but I do know that muscle does weight more then fat. So that could be your problem if your not seeing change. But like my personal trainers at the gym would say. Your not gonna see results right away. And thats what makes people get unmotivated. So stick to it.

Going to start P90X tomorrow, I put it off for 20 days, some new years resolution that was :P

Like all 51 comments i read I am nervous about the nutrition plan. I am Male, 167, 5'8 so Im not obese or anything but losing my stomach and being glad to take off my shirt would be a bonus!

I am probably going to take a picture a day, i recommend everyone else does it 2. Now if your totally unsure there is a guy on youtube who posted his story about it. He made his own iron man costume and goes to cosplays and stuff. Like that guy for me did it, he made me wanna do the program.

Good luck to everyone!!!!
