I purchased the ab lounge and I liked it. I injured my back at work so I purchased the machine and it worked great for me. I can't do traditional sit ups so this chair worked for me. I guess if you train hard core this probably wouldn't be the best machine for you, but it worked for me and my bad back to build my core muscles and abs.

I've used the product and noticed that you don't really get much out of it through the suggested exercises since the way it is designed essentially uses your own weight to force you into their "jack knife" shape without much abdominal effort. By having the hand holds above the head it creates as circle where your hands pull the top of the machine forwards while your butt pushes the middle back thus negating the abdominals. There are ways to forgo their instructions and figure out how to utilize your abdominal muscles while using the machine though (primarily through reducing the ability of your hands to pull the top forwards).

I have been using the ab lounger (sport) for about...mmm... I'd say about a year now. It is a good machine if you are looking to tone up a little, but as stated in previous reviews, you cannot rely only on this piece of equiptment. I, personally, enjoy it because it takes the tension off of my back, BUT it is true that you need to ALSO incorporate a good healthy diet and at least 30 minutes of cardio for this machine to be effective.
